Houston Central Heating & Air Conditioning System Monitors
Carbon Monoxide Monitors

Smart WayNow, a Central Heating & Air Conditioning system so advanced that it can communicate early problem diagnostic information to us (like a warning light in a car) so that we can check your unit's performance and operation from our offices.  Because the report indicates any problem that may exist, we can recommend the appropriate service action immediately.

With our exclusive "Customer Red Button Alert" feature, you can get a FREE diagnostic checkup anytime you want it, just by pressing a button.  No need to sit around waiting on a service technician just to find if a problem exists.

The Electronic Service Manager is not just a box added to heating & cooling system, but is a revolutionary new way to service, repair and sell new equipment. More than an accessory, this state of the art microprocessor technology provides an unbeatable level of protection that even an around the clock service technician could not match.

The Electronic Service Manager Automatically Calls for Service & Repair

Imagine if heating and cooling systems automatically called for service & repair wheneverThe Tech Pad is a handheld keypad and display screen that's used on all monitors offered by A-1 Tops Services. there was a problem?  The Smartway Solutions Electronic Service Manager not only does this, at A-1 Tops Services, we usually get the alarm even before the owner knows a problem exists.

The Electronic Service Manager is a compact, proprietary computer consisting of an integrated circuit board, microprocessor and a built in modem for diagnostic report communication. Each circuit board is thoroughly inspected and tested before enclosed in a durable, element resistive 8" x 8" x 1 1/2" blue enamel painted metal case.

Real time data of HVAC system's temperature, air flow and relative humidity is relayed by cable to the computer from two remote sensor pods located in the return and supply air ductwork. A third sensor is necessary in heat pump systems to provide outside ambient air temperature information. The Electronic Service Manager computer filters this sensor information through complex database computations to determine the general condition of the HVAC system.

The Tech Pad is a handheld keypad and display screen that's used on all monitors offered by A-1 Tops Services . Plugging the Tech Pad directly into the Electronic Service Manager circuit board, HVAC system information is entered and sensor data (i.e. supply & return air temperature, relative humidity, temperature splits, etc.) is displayed on the LCD screen. The computer's database program then uses the Tech Pad input to calculate more accurate benchmark values for increased monitoring precision.

How the Electronic Service Manager Detects A Problem and Notifies A-1 Tops Services.

The Electronic Service Manager monitors the HVAC system continuously. When the monitor detects an operating characteristic that is beyond the calibrated benchmark range, it will check and recheck its results for 10-15 minutes. If the problem still exists after rechecking, the modem immediately begins calling. If the phone is being used (or picked up during ESM transmission), the monitor will not interrupt or disconnect the user. Instead, it will wait for thirty minutes before re attempting to transmit a report (and will continue this procedure - waiting thirty minutes - until the phone line is available).

Once the phone line is free, the modem is programmed to call a toll free 800 number to send the data to a central station computer. The central station computer then formats the data into a readable, diagnostic report and automatically faxes and (optionally) alpha pages it. In less than four (4) minutes from the initial monitor problem detection, the report is received by our technicians in the field.

All customer information received by A-1 Tops Services is strictly confidential and is used only to provide reports to our technicians.

Monitoring cost is literally pennies a day for SmartWay's central station reporting service. The first 12 months of monitoring service, which begins when the first report is sent, is included with the ESM purchased.

While there is a low monthly monitoring fee, the Smartway Solutions' ESM monitoring unit is provided FREE OF CHARGE through our A-1 Tops Services monitoring plan.  For more information, please contact us for a complete product demonstration.
